Nokia N97 New Firmware Update

Nokia has provided Nokia N97 firmware update from v21.0.045 to v22.0.110. I’ve had my update over-the-air by pressing *#0000#, for me it took about 5 minutes but it depends on the connection, probably more or less. It might be able also over NSU and data cable. But I guess no major changes as I notice. Here are the some changes:
- It is snappier, the menu pop up quickly.
- the booting sequence took 35 seconds now with the updated, while in v21 you get 50-70 seconds.
A Change log from v21 to v22 via Symbian World by Norman John.
Data package content, corrections or changes:
- “System error” displayed occasionally at first start-up. Reported e.g. by Vodafone.
- OTC cases fixed:
- Wrong Cherry number used in Russia and Spain
- Corrections to TOP ~15 issues reported in the field

Being a member of business line up from Nokia, E75 has the main focus on email. Its qwerty keyboard supports your full typing activity. So which one is better, E75 or N97?
* E75 has flat keys of its qwerty keyboard so you will feel hard when feeling them. It needs you to keep you eye on its keyboard. N97 has a cool design with its appropriate dimension to get the feel.
* There is no function of Ctrl Key on N97. This function will be useful in combination of keys such as Ctrl+C for copying the chosen text, Ctrl+V for pasting text etc. E75 and other E series support this function.
* There are 2 Shift keys on E75 while N97 only has a Shift key. Long pressing Shift key will result in option “Paste” in top of your screen then lets you paste by pressing the neighbouring key.
* In N97, long pressing its keys will offer second character. E75 will get the same function thru firmware v20.00.
* N97 lets you get faster typing than E75 with its key placement.
* N97 has Sym Key while E75 has Chr Key for symbols.
* Key to get numbers is placed in right corner on N97 and left corner on E75.
* Dpad on N97 may make you feel disturbed sometimes. Navigation key on E75 is on the top of the phone so it is better.

More Review of Nokia N97 Mini

We will make comparison within N97 and N97 Mini in this review. The N97 Mini is better than N97 in system ability and operational speed. There is no freeze or restart with no reason. However the phone has lags and not too good responds to command.
N97 Mini also has better call and it has better in-call quality like N97. The sound looks clear and loud. Compared with its bigger brother, N97 Mini is more attractive in design made from better material besides brings the enhanced in-call quality as well as more stable OS.
In other side, N97 Mini still contains some N97 shortcomings such as limited video codec support and sluggish operational speed.
If we look at the market, there are some other devices cheaper than N97 Mini like Samsung OMNIA HD i8910. This phone comes without qwerty keyboard but brings the larger display, the decent video capabilities as well as similar functionality.

Color reproduction
In this area, Nick would like to choose N97 in first then Motorola Droid and HTC Touch Pro2. N97 image has good saturation and displays the good lightning condition. In good outdoor sunlight, Tilt2 seems to wash out picture and this phone will have the best result in outdoor photo without direct sunlight or indoor lightning.
