Nokia Q4 2009: Smartphone World Marketshare Up to 5

The release of Nokia Q4 2009 has shown a huge profit, reporting an operating profit of EUR 1.141 billion, with EUR 12 Billion net profit. Nokia’s sales converged devices sales have reached the result of 20.8 million compared with 15.1 million units in Q4 2008 and Q3 2009 as 16.4 million units. The market share has increased significantly from 35% to 4)% sequentially.
Here are some of the point interests that make Nokia become the top brand: first, it could reach mobile device volumes were 126.9 million units, and 12% year on year and up 17% sequentially (not unusual for Q4, which includes the holiday market). Read more
Nokia Market Share Dropped 4% in Q4 2008

Nokia still dominate world phone market in 2008. But their market share has dropped to 37% in the fourth quarter of 2008. Nokia sold about 113.1 million mobile devices in Q4 2008, or 4% less than in Q3 2008 (117.8 million devices) and 15.3% less than in the fourth quarter of 2007 (133.5 million devices). A huge drop compared to the same quarter fo the last year!
The operating profit for Q4 2008 also decreased 80% from the EUR 2.5 billion profit in Q4 2007 to EUR 492 million. However, Nokia sold more phones in 2008 than in the previous year: 468.4 million units, as opposed to 437.1 million units (a 7.2% increase).
