Nokia Step Counter is an application that records steps, distance and calories burned by utilizing the accelerometer. This apps now get an update with better power management and wider compatibility. Here is a list of the new features.

• Support for the following S60 products: N95, N95 8GB, N82, N93i, 6210, N79, N85, N96
• Export of step data in CSV format (in Diary, select Options -> Export To File)
• Sound notifications (in Settings, General, Sound Notification. Use your own alert sounds by replacing alertsteps.aac and alerttarget.aac in E:/StepCounter/AlertSounds)

Furthermore, you can add text entries to workouts indirectly through the Nokia Wellness Diary which automatically imports summary data from the Step Counter (and Nokia Sports Tracker).

Do you know that your mobile phone can be a remote control through your PC? I hope that many of you already known about “Salling Clicker” from Salling Software in Stockholm. This is very nice application that enables your S60 device become a remote control for another media on your computer. Unfortunately, this is not standalone application for S60. You still need to install some software on your computer, PC or even your Mac. After you installing that software, you can create the installer for your S60 devices. After you finished with those steps, now your PC or your Mac will be acting as a host device for the client installed on your handset.

Firstly, you should download the application for your PC or Mac. The installation process also easy, you just follow the wizard that will help you to install the client on your S60 device whether you want to use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection. For instance, I already use this application just to prove it. In this case I am using a PC notebook as a media center hooked to a 32? LCD TV. In that situation, I tried the connection using Bluetooth connection, because when I tried using Wi-Fi, there was a problem with the firewall, so I changed the connection with Bluetooth. From what I have done in that time, I can conclude that this application can only work with one device; connecting new one will disconnect the other.

Sometime your friend send important message to your phone. So you need to save the text message or email to note or other text editor. Sadly there is no built-in copy-paste feature on Nokia phones. But don?t worry, there?s always a solution for simple task like this.

1. Open the message you want to copy from
2. Options > Forward. This will give you a chance to copy and modify the text in that message.
3. Hold down the # key and highlight the text you want. While holding down # push the copy key and now it’s on the clip board.
4. Go to your web browser or email that you need to paste the text in and once again hold down the # key and push paste.
5. Go back and delete the forward message you were creating.
