Maemo OS for N-series
The launching of Nokia N900 with its Maemo OS seems to bring excitement. Due to this respond Nokia will plan to apply the same OS to its high-end devices in future, the N series line. There is no confirmation regarding the E series and X series at the moment.
This information comes from the Maemo team marketing. This also had been confirmed at Maemo event in London some days ago where they said Nokia had planned to drop Symbian in N series.
Further more, Nokia said that by 2012 they would use Maemo as the official face in high end phones. There is no info about E and X series but considering the good respond of Maemo, perhaps the company would like to consider Maemo for X and E series.
However, the company has promised they still support Symbian as well as Maemo. They also will plan to expand their app stores, Ovi Store and Maemo Select.
