Nokia 5800 Firmware Update to v31.0.101

You may have known this. Nokia has just updated its firmware update for 5800 XM to v31.0.101. The previous firmware update was released back on July 2009.

This time the update is only available in Asia and Europe. Among the things included are bux fixes, advanced e-mail application, a better version of Ovi Maps 3.0 and an easier navigation experience.

Unfortunately, we can’t find much changes on graphical like the previous update. As for the bug fixes, there is no specification about it. The new Ovi Maps looks eye catching icons and also cleaner.

Maybe it is not a good news but this update doesn’t contain kinetic scrolling people have waited for quite long time. However, we can get the other nice thing. Now the widgets appearance can be found in 5800’s main screen. This looks similar to N900. These widgets have same functions like those of Mac OS X or Windows desktop widgets, displaying info like RSS feeds, time and date.
