Nokia Life Tools and 5 affordable phones will be launched next month in Indonesia. Those budget phones are Nokia 1280, Nokia 1616, Nokia 1800, Nokia 2220 slide and Nokia 2690. The worldwide customers will be able to find those phones on Q1 2010.
Nokia 1280, Nokia 1616 and Nokia 1800
The phones will be priced at EUR 20, EUR 24 and EUR 26 respectively (before taxes and subsidies). All those phones will support FM radio, prepaid tracker, flashlight, anti-scratch cover and dust-resistant keymat and the other features. The battery life is up to 22 days standby time. The later looks vital for those who life in limited electricity area.
The Nokia 2220 slide and Nokia 2690
Those above phones will be priced at EUR 45 and EUR 54 (before taxes and subsidies). They support email on the handset via Ovi Mail. The remaining features including FM radio, VGA camera, GPRS and MMS support, phone books with up to 1,000 contacts, and Bluetooth. The standby times are up to 20 days and 13 days respectively.
The first of those 5 phones are expected to be shipped before the end of this year. The remaining phones are predicted for shipping in first 6 months of 2010.
Nokia Life Tools
This service will be available in Indonesia since the beginning of December 2009. It has the Agriculture service for Sumatra and Java as well as Education and Entertainment services nation-wide.
