We have heard that Nokia had bough Dropplr, a travel social network on the end of September 2009. Now the rumours say that the Finich company is quietly looking for the buyer for Dopplr. It seems Nokia wants to take off this travel social network.
So people may question why Nokia wants to take off Dropplr that quick. The answer may come from some sources saying that Nokia wants the team through its acquisition. Some people on the team are CEO Marko Ahtisaari (he is formerly a star Nokia guy) and CTO Matt Biddulph. There is an article from Mike Butcher on TechCrunch Europe that has made a lot of sense.
In other hand, Nokia may also want to keep the mobile stuff on the Dropplr as it is predicted that Dopplr will be useful for Nokia products in future.
Finally we hear that the Dopplr main site is for grab. So if you are feel interested just call Nokia.
