Skype Client for Nokia 5800 Officially Launched

The popular name in VoIP somedays ago had been released its official client for S60v5 device.
Unfortunately this client only works in certain networks. Those are 3 networks in Europe and some other else. Are you the lucky one who can use Skype on your 5800?
The Skype client has chosen these networks: three in United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland, Sweden, Australia, Hong-Kong, Austria and Denmark. As you can see on the screenshot it is a nice background Skype has used, isn?t it?
For you the lucky ones, you can get this app here.
For the unlucky ones, you can rely on Nimbuzz instead of Skype for this service. Nimbuzz can accommodate all you Skype needs at the moment.

What is desperately needed for those of us with existing Skype user accounts, is a Skype client that will be able to use any network connection, not just the mobile data network either, but also WiFi, where the equipment exists and is usable.
The whole point of Skype, is it’s just another VoIP system (albeit with a closed protocol) so all it needs is a TCP/IP connection to the outside world, and that can be anything, not just GPRS, 3G or whatever. WiFi is the obvious choice, where it exists, at home, work, or hotspot etc.
No Supernode functionality, just the ability to log in, and use the service, where a TCP/IP connection can be created, and existing Skype account details are also available.
Regards.
