Nokia N86 8MP Details by Dpreview
Dpreview or Digital Photography Review has given their review of Nokia N86 8MP camera that contains its plus and minus points.
The plus point of N86 8MP camera is its fast autofocus.
The other aspect is its heavy-duty noise reduction. The later statement is based on the N86 8MP image production that has 1.2 MB mark while the other 8Mpx usually produce 3.5MB. The minus effect of this heavy compression is that it gives lower image quality. As for the plus aspect, its small size is better for uploading (on the mobile phone).
Dpreview also says that it is a wrong way to make an image looks more pleasing than more realistic. So the fidelity on neutral colors can be better choice.
Other than that is about N86 8MP digital zoom. It is recommended for you not to use N86 8MP’s digital zoom instead of your image editor. Nokia says that using the 3X zoom causes the devastating effect on camera resolution. However N86 8MP allows bigger room for cropping because it catches more data using its 8Mpx sensor.
