Latest Firmware Updates for Nokia E71, E66 and E51
Good news again for Nokia Eseries owner, in particular Nokia E71, E51 and E66 owners. Nokia E51 now can get its firmware update to version 400.34.011. As for Nokia E71 and E66, they all can go to the latest firmware update to version 300.21.012. Previously Nokia E71 and E66 still on version 210.21.006. So it seems that both phones can hope on substantial update now. But unfortunately, no information about change logs from the official site, so you can explore them later. Just go to Nokia Software Updater for getting the updates.
It must be noticed that both Nokia E66 and E71 have no support for User Data Preservation (UDP) and can not be done thru FOTA. So it is recommended for you to make your backup via Ovi Suite or Nokia PC prior to updating.
Ibrahim Jogee from Symbianworld had noticed on his E71 that after getting the firmware update, he found YouTube, Facebook and My Space widget links that preinstalled in his media folder. That can be guides for users. But he still could not find the Maps, Ovi Store as well as Sports Tracker. And finally he got many lags once he exited the app. How bout you?
