Nokia 5630 XpressMusic hits the FCC

February 16, 2009 · Filed Under N-Gage, New Phones, News

Nokia 5630 XpressMusic , the low end music phone with candybar design just shuttled off to the FCC for review (and dissection, if these pictures are any indication) and shoul be approved soon. Nokia 5630 XpressMusic will sport a 3.2 megapixel camera with built-in flash, GPS, and Symbian S60 3rd edition. The Active Toolbar which we’ve seen more recently on the 5800 XpressMusic is also available. You can expect GPRS and EDGE connectivity and the jury is still out on that 3G support you’d like. Looking forward for prices and availability dates.

Not a bad camera for a low end handset, have we not got enough XpressMusic handsets by now though? Are nokia running out of ideas??

Doesnt look like anything too special, I heard its going to have a voice controlled music player but even that seems a little over rated.

I dont think they are running out of ideas, but rather trying to fill in as many ‘gaps’ in the market as possible. Similar to how Asus are working in the bnetbook market
