Nokia Bluetooth BH-703: A Comfort Design

Once again I want to express my gratitude for WOMworld that lend me the trial pre-sales version of BH-703 Bluetooth headset

Up until now I am using the Bluetooth Nokia BH-208. If we compared the size of the new BH-703 and my bluetooth, the BH-703 is longer and slimmer than mine. Another thing is the BH-703 has a minimalist design with a glossy black finish and silver/chrome outline that make this Bluetooth headset has a cool looks.

BH-703 compared to my BH-208

BH-703 headset uses microUSB port charger and it came to me with CA-101 USB charger. With the Micro USB port charger, you can charge the Bluetooth headset’s battery by plugging it to your PC or Laptop. It’s a good news since I have the Nokia 5310 cell-phone that is using the same interface.

There are three earplugs consisted in the package I got and I chose the medium size that fits nicely in my ear. At first I was a bit worried about the small hook-like part of the Bluetooth. I was afraid to break it or lose it, since I’m a bit careless. However, the BH-703 and the hook part worked fine.

Nokia have decided to change the traditional volume rocker buttons with a touch sensitive surface below the multifunction key. This is good move since you will get wider control area, but it could be annoying if the area become too sensitive, or even not sensitive enough. Fortunately I have no problem with this headset.

The pairing process of BH-703 to your cell-phone is very easy. All you need to do is hold the multifunction key that is on the face of the headset until the status light slowly flashes green. Then activate the Bluetooth feature on your cell-phone and search for Bluetooth devices. The headset will appear as Nokia BH-703. Select it and enter the code 0000. Done!

For the record, I also tried to pair the Bluetooth headset to the Sony Ericsson K750 and I had no trouble in pairing the two devices wit the same steps I mentioned above. I think that most cell-phone will only require the same easy step.

While you can say all headset Bluetooth is just the same, I can say the BH-703 is much better than my old BH-208. is easier to use, more comfortable, longer talk time, and off course sexier design. I would recommend this headset to every Nokia lover or everyone that use Bluetooth headset in daily activity.

There’s also one feature that I like, that feature is the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) noise cancellation. This feature helped me a lot in the times of biking around the block by reducing the excessive noise from other vehicles. Yeah,  Jakarta is very noisy city :)
