The form of the DC-8 is tube-like form similar to those Nokia’s MD-6 speakers). The different between the DC-1 and the DC-8 is that there’s no internal battery in DC-8. It takes one AA-sized battery which is alkaline or NiMH, and has the ability to charge rechargable NiMH batteries.
Best of all, it’s compatible with any 2mm power plug phone which includes most Nseries phones (or it might be all - not sure about the N71 for example) and pretty much every decent, fairly new phone released by Nokia in the past year or two.
Other specifications: the Nokia DC-8 weighs 150 grams and measures 22 x 22 x 73 mm. Takes up to 2 hours to fully charge an NiMH battery.
