HDR imaging with Nseries

HDR is a great technique to make your digital photos look amazing. HDR or High dynamic Range Imaging uses multiple pictures with different exposure settings and combines them with Tone Mapping.

Nokia Nseries can create HDR image. In general when you take pictures of subjects lots of light contrasted with lots of darkness, then the camera try to poise everything and you finish up with a standard picture. With HDR imaging the pictures trace to vivid color.

Here are the sequential steps to make a HDR imaging with your Nseries;

  1. Set up your phone arrangement to take a picture and turn on the camera.
  2. Adjust your phone to set up your shot with tripod or kind of it such as Nokia Tripod DT-22.
  3. Set into scene modes and select Landscape.
  4. After that, go down the menu and set the white balance accordingly. Typically, you are going to be using cloudy or sunny.
  5. Set the ISO speed to low.
  6. Find the exposure settings marked by Set the Exposure compensation to +2.
  7. Go up the menu to Self timer then set the timer to 10 seconds.
  8. Activate the timer.
  9. You will now have you first shot. Now press back.
  10. Now set the Exposure compensation to 0 and take another picture using the Self timer. You can use 2 seconds for the timer this time.
  11. Next, take a third picture with the Exposure compensation set to -2.

12. Now you’re done with your shot.

  1. And the last, for manage your HDR image you can use computer software such as Adobe Photoshop.

You can get better results if you add more exposures, and make sure your phone has exposure and ISO settings. Almost the Nseries phones have these settings. Even the Nokia N76 and N81 have these settings, in spite of not having the auto focus feature found in higher end models like the Nokia N78 or Nokia N95. With differ condition, the result may vary.
