As a smartphone, Nokia N900 was designed with several advance features. However, there are three applications to help optimize your N900 .
Shortcutd
This application helps you to make a shortcut on Nokia N900. For the example, camera button may be set to run different actions. It may help you to increase and optimize your N900. You also may use the proximity sensor. But, this is not recommended.
Tweakr
Another application is ready to help you optimizes your N900. It is called with Tweakr. The most interesting feature of Tweakr is “snap icon grid” setting. This setting is helping you to arrange the icon’s position.
Tweakr allows you to change the function of Power key. Usually, hitting the Power key once brings up the phone menu, and holding it down turns the phone off.
Phone Speakers Switcher
Phone Speakers Switcher is an application that allow you to activate the loudspeaker in several ways during a call. You may use your proximity sensor to activate the phone speaker, or maybe you want to activate the speaker via Camera key, or slide open the keyboard. A lot of fun, right?

Symbian Tips: Hiding Other Sound Files on Symbian Music Player
Nokia N97 Symbian Music player auto searched sound file including ringtone and game sound and notification. Sometimes we don’t like other sound file except songs appears on the Music Player, In playing the playlist it is not a annoying problem but when you play in shuffle mode it is quite annoying since it plays also alarm tone, or other game sound effect.
Symbian should provide an option to load songs on folders we desired, but they didn’t. So we have to work it out our self.
To make ways around it we should give the sound folder the system attribute so it won’t appear in Music Player. But this method also makes other application unable to read them. The trick is first you add system attribute to the folders and update your music library, then remove the attribute so it would be readable to other apps.
Nokia Camera Application Creator Software Project
An new platform project called Frankencamera has been announced by The Nokia Research Center in Palo Alto, California, in cooperation with Stanford University. This application will make developer create invention for digital camera, this apps will help new camera apps to develop in mobile hardware camera limitation and make the most of it.
For this open-source platform the Nokia N900 is selected to be the host since Linux Maemo share similar desktop distribution which also make every development is a development for Linux also. The researchers has already make couple of application that you can see in Fcam pages.
This couple of apps example Fcamera application, this camera apps uses Low-light Assistant, Fcam Library and driver, HDR capture to help the camera capture better result .
The aim of this platform is to encourage people to make third party camera apps, so Nokia can developed its camera apps.
T-Mobile Will Launch Nokia N8 Soon?
We have read about Nokia N8 leaked specifications, watched its leaked video and also saw its leaked picture. It is like a myth for the geek but, this Nokia smartphone will be in our palm soon. Some news said that Nokia is having a partnership with T-Mobile for the selling of Nokia N8.

New Nokia C6 Firmware: Updated to v10.0.021
This is a good news for the Nokia C6 users. While some China models, The NAM devices gets its update to v10.2.024, Nokia C6 is officially getting its update to v10.0.021.
While updating the firmware, you don’t have to be worried about losing your data and the program as well. Since Nokia C6 has User Data Preservation, UDP, the users may backup all of their data and program so both the data and programs won’t be affected by the update firmware.
Nokia Kinetic Concept
There are many cellular phone concept these days, some are bad but some are cool like Nokia a Kinetic Concept by British designer Jeremy Innes-Hopkins. Nokia N900 Vs Nokia N97 Comparison

In the middle of the battle, N97 mini has to admit that N900 is better. Its 434 MHz ARM11 processor must fight against OMAP 3430 processor running at 600MHz. Firmware Update for Nokia X6 and X3
Even though the firmware has been updated to the latest one, both Nokia X6 and Nokia X3 gets their application updated differently. Their firmware was updated from v20.0.005 to v21.0.004. While Nokia X3 has been updated with small changes such as, battery charging notification and ring/alert tones, Nokia X6 get its applications more customized and fixed.
